The South. I went to college in North Carolina. Five years down there and I'm still not entirely sure I understand the Southern mentality. College student finances prevented me from fully exploring this area, however, now that I have a bit more disposable income I have several long weekend trips planned to the major destinations. Different cities have different cuisines, however, the South is the only region that seems to have its own region-wide cuisine - finding good Southern cooking is a must anytime you're in the region.
