KNOW HOW
I am far from an authoritative source on many subjects...however I have found that in many instances information that I'd like to find isn't readily available. Or links have a self-serving purposes rather than provide the specific details I was looking for. I created this section to capture all the hours I've spent searching the internet for things I couldn't find or had to pull from different sources. I've aggregate all the research I've done and personal experiences into the categories below.
Sometimes I feel like I spend more time planning and researching a trip than I do on actual vacations. Part of this is actually enjoyable, however, other times, such as obtaining an Indian Visa, or booking Indian train tickets, or basically anything India related can be a bit of a headache. Whenever I incur a massive travel headache, I go back and document the final process to assist whomever follows in my footsteps can have a smoother experience.
This is not me pontificate best practices but sharing things that I've done personally to make my travel experience if not more enjoyable, at least reduce the headaches. There are a few basic things you should consider every time you travel and if you've ever wanted to know, what to do if you've been mugged...I have you covered.
When I traveled around the world I started filtering sites and going to the ones with the best and most useful information. These sites cover destinations at a macro level and are useful in planning where to go, what to see, where to sleep, and the best route, as well as, any travel requirements like visas or vaccinations.
This is a final catch-all category that doesn't have too much to do with travel information but is in this section because I do not have any where else to put these stories. Over the course of my travels I've had some interesting experiences and have documented them here.
