Canada was my first foray into international travel. Our families big summer vacation was a drive up to Montreal then return south through Ottawa, Toronto, and Niagara Falls. I've made a few day and long weekend trips to Canada since then - returning to Montreal and Toronto and a day in Vancouver. I've wanted to do a loop of Edmonton, Banff, and Calgary for a few years now but never pulled the trigger while living in LA. That potential trip is on hold for a little while now.

TORONTOI took a Greyhound Bus from Rochester, New York to Toronto. The bus ride was probably the more lasting experience than visiting Toronto - not that Toronto isn't a fascinating place with lots to do, even when it's cold and overcast in December...it's just that riding Greyhound, with a night transfer in Buffalo and a boarding crossing, makes for a memorable experience.
