UNITED KINGDOM
I had a work assignment to the UK in September 2008. The company I worked for specialized in pharmaceutical research supplies and the finance offices were often near the warehouse. From a cost perspective the warehouse would be located away from a city center. That's how I wound up spending two weeks in Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard.
Dunstable was a quintessential small England town and seem like traveling back to a quieter time. Our hotel was on a site where a hotel had existed for over 1,000 years and across the street was a 1,000-year-old castle. Fortunately, the town had just enough restaurants and nightlife to keep us busy after work.

LONDON AND COUNTRYSIDEWe arrived a weekend early for a blitz of London. The weekend in between was a drive through the countryside stopping at Warwick Castle. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, and Stonehenge.
