Western Europe is a traveler's wonderland. Sure Eastern Europe may be up and coming, and India and Asia may be a little more exotic, but it's very, very difficult to beat the established tourist destinations of Western Europe. Believe it or not, I've only ever taken a long weekend vacation to Western Europe - back in 2009, U.S. had a $299 roundtrip special to Barcelona so I quickly booked a trip and was on my way. Other than that my European travels have been work assignments (not a bad gig) and a three-week study abroad blitz. Pete backpacked through parts of Europe in 2008 so I've included some of his destinations. I doubt that either one of us will be back in Western Europe for a while so this page will be dormant for the foreseeable future.
