I heard a statistic that more retired airline pilots live in Seattle / Tacoma than anywhere else in the U.S. - implying that for professionals who traveled all over the country and therefore know the best spots, they choose to live in Washington. So yes...Washington is a good spot.
I visited here in 2008 - flew into Seattle then looped down to Portland then back up the coast to Vancouver then finished with a few days in Seattle. Wonderful spots across the board - you can't go wrong with a visit to this part of the U.S. |
