TRAVEL WRITING
Travel relaxes and clears my mind. Whatever limited creativity I may have seems to be enhanced as soon as I arrive at a new destination. The increased mental stimulation combined with spending a lot of time on planes, trains, and buses creates an ideal environment to capture in writing what is stuck in my head. At a minimum I want to do a better job of documenting the time I spend in Hong Kong but at the maximum I want to see if I can document my travel and life views in a coherent story.
HONG KONGI moved to Hong Kong in October 2014. These blog entries chronicle my time in "Asia's World City". It seems that all great cities can be sub-divided and explored at a smaller, neighborhood level. Hong Kong is no exception. Each day I head out with a different neighborhood in mind and select a coffee shop, cooked food center, or some other point of interest as my "destination". I will also track my employment progress, housing search, and other information that may be useful to someone making a permanent move or interested in seeing the city like a local.

HEMINGWAYI've always had a fascination with Ernest Hemingway but this is not an attempt to emulate or start a similar career. For as much time as I spend consuming content, I regret not taking the time to create my own. The basis for the initial posts will be related to the year I spent traveling the world and providing, what I hope is, a global perspective on contemporary issues and self discovery.
