Ohio has some great small towns. Hopefully I can build this page out over time.
Cambridge, OH
Cambridge is a small town an hour east of Columbus. On a cross-country tour, I searched for “best small towns in” ______ state. Ohio may have the best collection of small towns in the country. Unfortunately, many of them are not along I-70, the route I took across the state. Cambridge was the one small town I could find and fortunately it lived up the quintessential small-town America. There’s an old theater. A grand old post office. A city hall that would stand ZERO chance of being built today. Christmas pageantry (albeit a bit creepy) and street lights adorned with American flags. Check. Check. Check.
