I was on the fence as to whether we'd have a baby photo shoot for Charlotte. I've never liked the newborn photos, where the baby is crawled up in a ball or laying on a blanket. I also thought that I'd be able to take quite a few good photos of Charlotte myself - but there's always a lighting issue, Charlotte never seems to pose in the correct position, I can't capture all of us smiling at the same time...and then I look at these photos and wonder why I ever hesitated. The good part about the hesitation was that we took the photos at the nine-month mark which felt like a Goldilocks, just right period. Too much earlier and we wouldn't have been able to get photos where she was standing or able to strike a pose and too much later Charlotte may have been aware what was taken place and not been as willing of a participant. As it was, Charlotte seemed to be a natural. She struck a few poses. Had a wide variety of smiles. We spent nearly two hours taking photos and Charlotte was a trooper through out. In the end it was difficult to choose among the final photos. All of the photos came out great but below are the favorites that we kept of ourselves.
FAMILY PHOTOS
BENCH AND BEARS
We tried to incorporate a few themes and family items into the photos. My mom's father made the blue bench for her. Corduroy Bear and Lamutt, my favorite stuffed animal from childhood made it into this photo set. It would have been a significant effort and major wild card to try and incorporate Annie into the photo shoot, so we settled on dressing Charlotte in her "My Sister is a Schnauzer" onesy.

LUGGAGE
There's an expectation that Charlotte will do quite a bit of travel in the upcoming years and over her lifetime. She's already been to Phoenix and the Catskills. There's hopefully a trip to the Philippines in November 2023.
