My brother Pete lived in Chicago for several years after college and I was able to get a local taste for the city from visiting him a couple of times. Chicago is a great place to visit as a tourist because there's such diversity in things to see and do and it's a great place to live because there's equally great local things to see and do. Pizza. Hot Dogs. Sure. Second City - Definitely!
Our family had short four/five day trip to Chicago and Illinois when I was about ten years old. This is a great city for a short visit and if you're looking to get outside of the city heading down to Springfield to see Lincoln's house is a good side trip...or you could just spend the entire time in Chicago. |
