Colorado was the last U.S. continental state I visited and that was partially by design - on a cross country trip the road takes you north and south of Colorado so I decided if I wanted to do Colorado "right" it would need to be in a separate, Colorado / U.S. Southwest dedicated trip. The trip came off perfectly as I saw something different each morning and afternoon. Distances are perfectly separated to see an amazing natural attraction, drive two hours, then see another amazing natural attraction.
Visit in September after families have wrapped up their summer vacations and before seniors begin their trips. |
